Teramachi House is a quiet and relaxing two-story Kyoto-style “machiya” town house in central Kyoto. A “machiya” is a traditional Japanese house made of wood. Teramachi House is located down a picturesque alley off Teramachi street, a popular street for its temples, antique shopping, restaurants, etc. The first floor has two sitting rooms of about 5 meters sq. each, a kitchen, a shower room and a toilet. The first floor entrance leads directly upstairs to your private bedroom on the second floor.
We really hope you will enjoy your stay in this traditional Japanese style “machiya” townhouse, close to the Imperial Palace, the Kamo River with its views of Mt. Hiei, and the Kyoto downtown area with its restaurants, shopping and nightlife, only 10 minutes away on foot.
